XEMT- the creative progress

Born Eric Christopher Ortiz Aug. 8, 1984 in El Paso Texas on the border also known as Paso Del Norte Xemt is a Mc of the Southwest of the United States of America Rhyming both English, Spanish and also Spanglish,he has a very unique style that he contributes to the sound of hip hop. He started his love affair with music at the age of 16 on the Northeast side of town in El Paso Texas where he grew up. His first love affair was with Graffiti Art , but music would eventually steal his heart for life. He has been recording since the age of 18 and has worked with various artist including the following: EP Munkies , Strategic Investments Records, Sons of Villa, Corner Block Music of Los Angeles California, Funky Blessed of Juarez Mexico, and other artist also from El Paso Texas . Having performed in his home town and his neighboring city he has also performed in Los Angles in various establishments one being the Air Liner , as well as in Bridge Town New Jersey for the Peoples Fest held by Guerrilla Republik, he plans to perform around the world eventually. He is currently working on a solo album being produced by Dikae of the Funky Blessed,the both sounds of each side of the border coming together to bring to you a verydistinct sound of the border. This will be his third project, but this time as a solo artist. With that being said all there is to do is to listen to some Xemt’s work. His previous works include Gettoness a self titled album and Tiemopz Deztruidoz a collaboration with long time friend Ruben Hernandez (Sain).
